Born in Queens, NY, on November 9, 1915, to the late George and Elizabeth Miller. Helen was the beloved wife of the late George W. Clark, former mayor of Ridgewood and the mother of Russell Clark of Ridgewood, NJ and Nancy White of Bethesda, MD. She is the grandmother of Hayley and Whitney Clark and Jessica and Stephen White and great grandmother of Bradley, Teague and Tyler White. After graduating from Hunter College in 1938, Helen worked with Enrico Fermi at Columbia University on the Manhattan Project until 1945. She later worked at the Ridgewood YWCA and also served as director. She was an avid reader and cook, and a loving mother and wife. She has been a member of St. Bartholomew's Church in Ho-Ho-Kus since 1951. She was also a long time member of the Ramsey Golf and Country Club and the College Club of Ridgewood. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on December 28 at St. Bartholomew's Church.
