Beloved father of Patricia and her husband Dennis Meany of Glen Rock, and Alice and her husband Martin Mauro of Glen Rock. Loving grandfather to Allison, Mark, Christopher, Jeffrey, Andrew, Gregory and Kevin and great grandfather of Patrick, Claire, and Kyla. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret in 1981 and his wife Una in 1993. Art was a graduate of St. John's University with a BBA degree and a graduate of NYU with an MBA degree. Art was an accountant with ABB Lummus Global until his retirement in 1980. He joined the Peace Corps and served briefly in Upper Volta, Africa. In 1982 he returned to the US and continued his charitable work. He was a driver for Several Sources in Ramsey; a volunteer at Bergen Regional Medical Center in Paramus; and for the last 15 years was a volunteer at the VA Home in Paramus. Art was also a Naval Veteran of WWII. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 18th at 10:00am at St. Catharine's RC Church in Glen Rock. Visitation Sunday, January 17th from 2-6pm at the C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Interment at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
