| ![]() Ann M. DeLoca, (nee Friel) 78, passed away on Friday, February 19th surrounded by her 5 loving children. Ann grew up in Jackson Heights, NY, and loved her childhood summers at the family farm in Sullivan County, NY. In 1952 Ann married her high school sweetheart Cornelius "Connie" DeLoca, who passed away in 2005. During their 52 years of marriage they traveled the world and spent 3 years living in Paris, France. They lived their last 40 years together in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Long time members of The Ridgewood Country Club, Ann and Connie shared a love of golf, and Ann spent many happy hours with her lady friends in the bowling league. Not only was Ann a terrific homemaker, she was also a gifted seamstress and an accomplished artist. She was also proud of her career as a Registered Nurse, and her volunteer work for The Franklin Lakes Ambulance Corps and The Valley Hospital. But her greatest pride and joy were her five children and their spouses, and her nine grandchildren. She was thrilled to know that her first great-grandchild is due in August. Ann's magical touch to Christmas will live on joyfully in her children and grandchildren. Ann is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Denise of Lawrenceville, NJ, Thomas and Eileen of Ridgewood NJ, and Matthew and Julie of Short Hills NJ, and by two daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and David Schneider of Lawrenceville, NJ and Jeanne and Roger Rogalin of Chatham, NJ. Ann was Gramma and Grammy to Matt and Dana, John and Erin, Kevin, Nicole, Elise, Meg, John, Ray and Livvy. Ann is also survived by her sister, Rita Barry, of Sebastian, FL. A memorial and celebration of Ann's life will be held on Saturday, February 27th at 11:00 a.m. at C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home 306 E. Ridgewood Ave., Ridgewood, NJ.( www.vanemburgh.com) In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation in Ann's memory to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America ( www.ccfa.org). ![]() | |||
