Kavanagh went home to the Lord on February 21, 2010 in St. Petersburg, FL at the age of 89. A resident of Florida for thirty years, she was born in Jersey City, NJ . She was a resident of Ridgewood, NJ and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was predeceased by her husband of forty years, William Kavanagh and her brothers Vincent Ball and Dr. William Ball. She is survived by five children, Olive Johnson Tampa, FL, Maureen Porod of Midland Park, Bill Kavanagh of Midland Park, Claire Gambale Tampa, FL and Peter Kavanagh of Morris Plains. Thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. Kenneth Lasch, a cousin of the family, at 9:30 AM on Saturday March 13, 2010 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Ridgewood. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
