Beloved husband of his beloved, Sonia. Loving father to John Hanna and his wife Nevine, Mary Hanna and Fadi Hanna. Cherished grandfather of Ashley, Gabrielle, David and Alexander. Dear brother of Janette Abdou, Ezzat Hanna and Juliette Karas, predeceased by his brother Kamal Hanna. Caring uncle to many nephews and nieces. Born in Damanhour, Egypt, Fouad immigrated with his family to the United States in 1977, after four years living in the United Kingdom. He graduated Alexandria University Medical College, Alexandria, Egypt, in 1957. Known for his keen medical mind and for his gentle and caring way with patients, he served patients for 53 years, while gaining the admiration of his colleagues. A devoted Christian, he attended the Hawthorne Gospel Church, Hawthorne, NJ, since 1987. A funeral service will take place at Hawthorne Gospel Church, 2000 Route 208 North, Hawthorne, NJ, at 1100 am on Monday, August 9. Visitors will be received on Sunday, August 8, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Van Emburgh Funeral Home, 306 E. Ridgewood Ave, Ridgewood, NJ. Interment will be at Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood, NJ.
