Munschauer, Robert L. 87 of  Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ. on 8/6/10. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Kratz) for 62 years. Loving father of Deborah Schneider of Bethel, CT, Joan McRae of Ho-Ho-Kus and Robin and husband Michael Knoblock of Goshen, NY. Adored grandfather of Stephanie and husband Jamie, Colby and fiance Shane, Michael and Taylor.

Served in the Navy during WWII. Graduated from Baltimore College of Commerce and earned his CPA. After a 35 year career at Continental Can Co., he retired in 1983 as cost accountant from the corporate office in Stamford, CT.

He served his church in many capacities, including representing it as delegate at the General Synod Meeting of the Reform Church of America. He was the recipient of the award for Outstanding Christian Service to church and community from the Bergen County Counsel of Churches in 1993. He served as chairman of the local zoning board for 13 years.

As a very active member of Hobbyists Unlimited, which he served as president in 1994 and chairman of the hiking group for many years. He was a volunteer driver for the Red Cross for 12 years.

Cremation was private and a memorial service will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 7:00pm, at the Community Church of Ho-Ho-Kus, Sycamore Ave., Ho-Ho-Kus. Memorial gifts can be made in Robert's name to the Community Church of Ho-Ho-Kus.
