Beloved husband of Jadwiga of Wayne. Loving father of Karen Jones-Williams of Medham, NJ; Bruce Jones of Westfield, NJ; Scott Jones of Raleigh-Durham, NC and Pamela Miller of South Carolina. Dear grandfather of Emily, Meryl, George, Rebecca, Ryan, Brad, and Meredith. Predeceased by his wife Barbara in 1999. Harold graduated from Western Reserve College in 1942. He then entered Midshipmen training at Columbia University Navy reserve. He was an Engineering Officer training Amphibious Naval Forces, completed 1944. He was the officer in charge LSM -41 through WWII completion in South Pacific until war's end in August 1945. He was employed at Western Electric Company Headquarters in NY, NY as manager of their tax/regulatory division. Harold was a member of Hobbyist Unlimited and a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church and also served as an elder and trustee. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 20th at 11am at the First Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood. Visitation Thursday, January 19th from 4-8pm at the C.C.VanEmburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Interment private. www.vanemburgh.com
